Adrian College Women’s Basketball Season Ends in MIAA Quarterfinal Round

Grand Rapids, MI – The Adrian College Women’s Basketball season came to a close Tuesday night on the road in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tournament quarterfinal round against Calvin University, 75-61.

The Bulldogs (7-19 overall, 6-10 MIAA) entered the tournament as the No.6 seed, with the Knights (16-10 overall, 11-5 MIAA) as the No.3 seed. The two teams played to an even 15-15 score after the first quarter, but the Knights pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring the Bulldogs 29-10. Adrian and Calvin each scored 16 in the third quarter, and AC netted 20 in the 4th quarter against CU’s 15.

Morgan Babb led Adrian College in scoring with 18 points on 6-18 shooting from the floor in 39 minutes played. Aubrie Ickes had 17 points on the night, shooting 6-7 from the floor in 34 minutes played. Hannah Lisch also had double figures for the Bulldogs, netting 12 points. Kylie Skidmore led Adrian in rebounding, with 8, and also scored 8 points in 38 minutes played.

Adrian College shot 41.7% from the floor, 30% from three, and 64.3% from the free throw line.
