
Adrian, MI – Siena Heights University women’s and men’s basketball team lost their games against the current top seeds in the WHAC, Indiana Tech Warriors, at the SHU Fieldhouse Saturday.
Tech pulls away from Siena late to sweep regular season series…
The Siena Heights women’s basketball team dropped a 76-59 contest to Indiana Tech. Brooke Rebman was the Saints’ leading scorer with 13 points. Madison Vice added 12 points and E’Anna Won finished with six assists and two blocks.
The Saints had held a 14-11 lead after the opening quarter and led by as many as six points before the visiting Warriors (17-4, 12-1) took the lead for good in the second period.
Indiana Tech led 31-24 at halftime and stretched out its largest lead to 76-57 late in the fourth. The Saints (12-9, 9-4) will return to play on Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. WHAC contest at Aquinas.
Saints topped by Tech after strong start…
The Siena Heights men’s basketball team fell to WHAC conference opponent Indiana Tech, 78-51 in WHAC. Leading the charge for SHU was George Kalatzis with 15 points and five rebounds. Danilo Rajlic added nine rebounds.
SHU 5-16 (2-11) jumped out to a quick 5-0 start until Indiana Tech went on an 8-0 run in a span of 1:20 to take the lead 8-5, as the Saints were unable to regain the lead in the game again, and trailed 42-25 at halftime.
In the second half, Indiana Tech did not slow down as they outscored SHU 36-26 in the second half. On the afternoon, the Saints shot 29.2% from the floor and 24.0% from behind the three point line.
The Saints will return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 29, with a 7:30 p.m. EST game at Aquinas in WHAC action.
