Adrian, MI – The Tecumseh Indians girls basketball team and and Adrian Maples boys basketball team both picked up important SEC White Division victories Friday night in Adrian.
The first game of the evening featured one of the top ranked D2 girls teams in the state of Michigan… Tecumseh. The Indians (9-1, 3-0 SEC White) defense flexed its muscle in a 68-12 win over the Maples (4-7, 1-2 SEC White).
The second game of the doubleheader saw the Adrian boys pull out a hard-fought and low-scoring victory over Tecumseh, 47-36. The Maples (10-1, 3-0 SEC White) completed a tough stretch of games on Friday, after winning at Chelsea 66-62 earlier in the week. The Indians (10-2, 2-1 SEC White) had won their first two SEC White games against Chelsea and Ypsilanti before the loss to Adrian. John Koehn was on the play-by-play for both games…
The entire 2024-25 story of the SEC White has not been written yet, with both schools matching up against each other Friday, February 7th at Tecumseh (5:30pm/7pm). The Chelsea Bulldogs and Jackson Vikings could contend, but have already suffered defeats in the conference.
