
Lenawee County, MI – Two Lenawee County volleyball teams have advanced to a MHSAA Regional Final later this week. Tecumseh (54-2-1) continued their stellar season by getting past Carlton Airport Tuesday night in four sets (25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19).
Clinton (43-8-1) handled Jackson Lumen Christi in three sets (25-16, 25-23, 25-17) to win their regional semifinal. The other Lenawee County team in regional semifinal action was Lenawee Christian (13-19-2), who saw their playoff run end against Concord in three sets (22-25, 16-25, 23-25).
Stat leaders for Tecumseh, which were submitted to 96.5fm The Cave, included Emma Eldred (20 kills, 10 digs), Alli Zajac (10 kills, 7 blocks), Lily Gnodtke (36 assists), and Maddy VanBlack (8 kills, 9 digs)
Tecumseh will play for the Regional Championship on Thursday at An Arbor Gabriel Richard at 6pm against Parma Western. Clinton’s win on Tuesday sets them up with a Regional Championship Thursday night against Hanover-Horton at Lumen Christi High School at 7pm.
