
Adrian, MI – Both Lenawee County college football teams were held off the scoreboard Saturday afternoon, as both Adrian College and Siena Heights University lost on the road.
Bulldogs Drop MIAA Contest at #17 Hope College
Holland, MI – The Adrian College football team traveled to Hope College on Saturday afternoon to take on the No. 17 ranked Flying Dutchmen. The Bulldogs struggled on Saturday afternoon falling to Hope, 45-0. Adrian moves to 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in MIAA play.
The Bulldogs trailed 17-0 at halftime before a strong third quarter by Hope which extended the lead.
Noah Heide got the start at quarterback where he finished 18-of-33 with 130 yards passing. Jalen Wallace led the team in receiving with eight receptions for 64 yards. Trey Brueggemann finished the day with eight tackles and a forced fumble on defense. Waides Ashmon and Ethan Layton finished the afternoon with seven tackles each.
Adrian returns to action at home on Saturday, November 2 when they host Kalamazoo College at 1:00 PM at Docking Stadium.
Saints Lose to Rival Cardinals in Ann Arbor
Ann Arbor, MI – The Siena Heights football team lost a 9-0 contest to Concordia in MSFA Mideast action on Saturday.
Linebacker Jack Howey was the Saints’ leading tackler with 14 stops, including 14 for-loss. Fellow LBs Clarke Hamilton and Tanner Rubinstein added 13 and 12 tackles, respectively.
In the defensive backfield, Brevin Jackson made 11 tackles and Amir Stewart finished with eight, including one for-loss.
The host Cardinals (4-4, 2-0) scored all of their points on field goals with kicks in the first, second and third quarters.
Siena Heights (2-6, 1-2) will return to play on Saturday, Nov. 9 with a 12 p.m. MSFA Mideast home game against Indiana Wesleyan.
