Adrian, MI – The No. 3 Adrian College Women’s ACHA (American Collegiate Hockey Association) Division 1 team shut out No. 7 University of Michigan-Dearborn Thursday night at the Arrington Ice Arena 7-0.

The first half of the opening period saw no scoring, but a stingy Bulldog defense made it difficult for the Wolverines to establish offensive zone time. At the 12:26 mark of the period, Sydney White scored a power play goal to make it 1-0 (assists by Tess McKerrow and Macy Piche). About 5 minutes later, Ashlynn Stitt scored a shorthanded goal on an assist from Makenzie Villiard. In the waning moments of the first, Mackenzie Parent put one in the back of the net to make it 3-0 AC at the intermission. The goal was assisted by Villiard and Taylor Robinson.

The second period was also dominated by the Bulldogs, scoring twice. Hailey Wiltshire tallied her first of the game at the 17:09 mark, assisted by Rhea Peterson and Allison Shaw. Peterson scored 23 seconds later, with assists from Whilshire and White.

The Bulldogs scored twice more in the third period, both on the power play. Wiltshire scored her second goal at the 11:42 mark (assisted by White and Shaw). AC captain Tess McKerrow scored at 17:40 (assist from Piche and Wiltshire). Chloe Burt had a 12 save shutout for the Bulldogs. Adrian peppered the U of M Dearborn net with 45 shots on goal.
