Lenawee County Baseball and Softball Teams in Playoff Action this Weekend

Adrian, MI – Six Lenawee County teams are left in the MHSAA playoffs, four baseball and two softball. The four baseball teams (Britton-Deerfield, Clinton, Onsted, and Hudson) are in Regional/Quarterfinal play this weekend, with three of them playing in Adrian for a chance to advance. Clinton, Onsted, and Hudson will be at Adrian College starting at 10am Saturday with Onsted and Buchanan…Clinton will battle Hudson in the early afternoon game (about 12 Noon). The winner of those two games will square off at 3pm Saturday afternoon at AC. The lone local team left in Divison 4, BD will play at Kalamazoo College at 10am vs Gobles. Should the Patriots win, they will play at 3pm the same day vs either Whitmore Lake or Decatur.

In softball, two Lenawee County teams remain…Sand Creek and Addison. The Regional semifinal for the Creek will be played at Sand Creek starting at around 12 Noon Saturday against Jonesville. If the Aggies win, they will play the winner of Dundee vs Grass Lake at around 2pm Saturday. Meanwhile, the Addison Panthers will battle Reading at around Noon at Dansville Saturday afternoon. If the Panthers win, they will play either Dansville or Ottawa Lake Whiteford at 2pm for a Regional Championship.

96.5fm The Cave will be broadcasting a triple-header Saturday at Adrian College. The first game will be Onsted/Buchanan at 10am, the second will be Clinton/Hudson, and the late-afternoon game being the winners of those two games. With the Redwolves playing the Tigers, Lenawee County is guaranteed at least one Regional Champion this season.
