LCS Girls Basketball Drops Regional Semi-Final to Ypsi Arbor Prep

Whitmore Lake, MI – Turnovers were the undoing of the Lenawee Christian Girls basketball team in a regional semi-final loss to Ypsilanti Arbor Prep Monday night at Whitmore Lake. The Cougars started well, hitting their first two three point shots, and led by one but Arbor Prep finished the first quarter on a 11-2 run to lead 18-10 and never relinquished the lead.

Lizzy Sharer was the D.S. Johnson and Associates Player of the Game and had 10 points. Bree Salenbien started show, not recording her first point until 2:56 left in the first half. She led the Cougars with 17 points. Lenawee Christian’s loss ends the girls high school season for Lenawee County teams. It also ends the high school career for Bree Salenbien, who scored over 2,000 points in her illustrious career, along with 2 state championships.
