The 7th ranked Adrian College Men’s Hockey team had a resounding 8-1 victory over Northern Collegiate Hockey Association foe, Trine University, on Tuesday night.
Freshman Zachary Heintz recorded his first career hat trick on a game-high seven shots on goal. Sophomore Andrew Bellant led all scorers with four points on a goal and three assists. Junior Cameron Gray posted a career-high 32 saves to improve to 5-2-1 on the season.
Sophomore defenseman Andrew McCann scored his first career goal for AC. The Bulldogs outshot Trine 38-33 for the contest. Adrian is now 6-0 all-time versus the Thunder.
The 8-2-1 Bulldogs will now host Utica College (7-2-2 overall) in a weekend series, closing out the non-conference portion of their schedule. Games will be on Saturday, January 4th (7:05pm) and Sunday, January 5th (4:05pm).
